Join us in celebrating women who grow the world's food and organize to end hunger and poverty. At this event, we shine a spotlight on three outstanding women working in food justice. We will take action with Oxfam’s new initiative targeting the world’s biggest food and beverage companies. Since many of us buy these brands, we deserve to know what happens to the people who grow and produce the food we buy. As consumers, together we have the power to find out.
Last year, over 20 organizations co-hosted the International Women's Day event, sending over 100 letters to Congress to make food aid work for our recipients. We honored four food justice heroines and the event was covered on TV and radio. This year, we'd like to have just as great an impact, and we sincerely hope you will step up to the plate and join us.
